Commission Originals

Unlike standard commissions, where the client directs what the artist creates, our approach is more abstract.

Clients provide Hillary with three colors they favor and three they don’t favor to guide the commission and to indicate whether they want an iconic ‘figure’ incorporated into the piece. The rest is completely up to Hillary’s inspiration and intuition.

Her commissions are about trusting the creative process and understanding that art cannot be fully controlled; they capture the freedom of expression and collaboration in form.

  • For commissioned originals clients choose three favorite colors and three least favorite colors to help guide the artists and whether or not they want the iconic ‘figure’ depicted in their commission.

    Like: Blue, Orange, Red

    Dislike: Pink, Teal, Yellow

    Figure: Yes

  • Each commissioned original has a choice of size and either framed or wrap around canvas.

  • When contacting us for a commission you will be asked to agree to our terms of service and provide a non-refundable security deposit equal to 30% of the cost per commission.

  • Each commission will take an estimated 30-35 days to complete, not including shipping.

    Commissions requested within less than 30 days will be subject to a ‘rush fee’ of 25% the total commission cost or not be accepted.

  • Hillary Hany is an abstract artist and commissions are created with the understanding that each original artwork is unique, intuitive, and created freely with basic guidance of color choices.

    If a client does not approve the commissioned piece after its completion, clients are still responsible for full payment of the commissioned original. No exceptions.
